Rachel Lerro is a designer from Philadelphia whose work conveys her affinity for minimalism, spatial design and digital media. Rachel maintains these design principles in all of her media, including the digital arts, web design, fashion, graphic branding and photography. Rachel's work emphasizes connectivity and accessibility in our current digital climate and exploring the vast potentials of this medium.

At an early age, Rachel developed her interest in spatial relationships through a focus on garment design and textiles. Rachel further honed these skills through enrolling at Parsons School of Design in New York. At Parsons, Rachel's senior thesis collection focused on the translation of historical dress into contemporary garments while emphasizing shape, seaming, tailoring and an innovative use of materials. Her collection earned a Golden Thimble Award for Design Excellence at Parson's and was displayed at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York in May of 2007. After receiving her degree in Fashion Design, Rachel worked with the design team at Nathan Jenden, the Creative Director at Diane Von Furstenberg, both in New York and for the launch of his collection in London.

While Rachel's academic career utilized fashion and garment construction to explore her design principles, her current projects have focused on applying her aesthetic to web design, graphic branding and photography. Working with Joan Shepp, she launched and maintains the e-commerce site JoanShepp.com selling luxury merchandise and creating a digital identity branching off from the well known boutique located in center city Philadelphia. She has done various side projects working with local illustrator Chris Kline and non-profit group, CommuniShare Consulting, creating websites and online identities.
